We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Engineer to join our Team. The Graduate Engineer will work alongside our established Team of experts and will gain invaluable insight and experience working on diverse construction projects.
This is a multi-disciplinary role from road construction to civil engineering. You will gain experience in concrete technology, asphalt & macadam. We are looking for a hands-on Engineer who has a knowledge of construction & civil engineering but wishes to gain the training & mentorship to progress into a more Senior Engineering role.
Working alongside our Senior Engineers you will have responsibility for:
Assisting in the delivery of Civil Engineering/Road projects.
Participating in the management of site personnel.
Surveying and Setting Out. Conducting accurate site surveys and set out works in accordance with project specifications.
Calculating quantities and ordering materials.
Assist in the preparation, administration and assessment of tenders.
Implementing Quality Assurance procedures.
Assisting with Quality Control Management. Ensuring all works meet the required quality standards and comply with relevant regulations.
Coordination & liaison with Clients & Stakeholders.
Site Safety and Documentation. Maintaining a safe working environment and ensure all site documentation is up to date.
The ideal candidate will have:
§ Level 8 Qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
§ Strong understanding of civil engineering and construction practices.
§ A good working knowledge of Excel & MS Project.
§ Ability to problem solve and adapt to changing scenarios.
§ Excellent written and verbal communication.
§ Good interpersonal skills.
§ Ability to take direction and use own initiative.
§ Full Driving Licence is desirable.
