SUMMARY OF ROLE:

Graduates
can expect to work on projects on site, collaborate and network with industry
professionals, enhance technical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills,
receive mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals and gain a clear
understanding of their career path and potential roles, helping make informed
decisions about the future.

 

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

These include but are not limited to:

 

  • Setting out engineer’s drawing, site surveys,
    as-built drawings etc
  • Assist in interpreting drawings for layouts,
    materials measure etc.
  • Liaising and working with subcontractors and
    all staff across the site
  • Assist in planning works efficiently to ensure programme targets
    are achieved on time and in budget
  • Support the site engineer in liaising with
    client’s representatives and Design Team as and when
    required                            
  • Ensuring that all works are carried out in
    accordance with ISO standards
  • Assist in ordering and control of materials on
    site
  • Helping in the maintenance of site records as
    required
  • Learning and assisting the management and supervision of service
    installs particularly Uisce Eireann
  • Learning and assisting the QS in the re-measurement of work, daily
    outputs etc.
  • Completing any other duties as assigned by line manager

 

 

 

 

KEY SKILLS &
EXPERIENCE:

A successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

·        
Third level qualification in Civil /
Structural Engineering / Construction Management or related discipline

  • Setting out experience favourable
  • Knowledge of Construction Details
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent IT skills. Working
    knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Revit preferred but not essential as training will be
    provided if needed.

·        
Strong communication skills - interpersonal, written and oral

  • Ability to work
    both as part of a team and on their own initiative.

·        
Self-motivated to deliver
on safety, quality & programme

  • Full Driving License
    favourable but not essential

·        
Ability to prioritise and manage
multiple tasks simultaneously while working to tight deadlines

·        
Ambitious and enthusiastic to learn
and further their career
