Level
8 Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering

Experience

  • A Master’s
    degree would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Ideally you
    will have gained experience working on a wide range of projects
  • You must
    also have strong working knowledge of the current Irish Building
    Regulations
  • Full working
    knowledge of British and Eurocode Design Standards for Concrete, Steel,
    Masonry and Timber
  • You must be
    proficient using AutoCAD/Revit and be capable of preparing detailed
    technical designs & drawings to an exceptional standard
  • A good
    knowledge of Robot, Staad PRO-QSE or similar is essential
  • Be able to
    prioritise, work to tight deadlines and deliver projects on time
  • Excellent
    written and verbal communication (fluent in English)
  • Self-motivated with great attention to detail and ability to research a subject

geotechnical and water engineering practice.  Our highly skilled and experienced design team
has extensive experience in design and build contracts including design
services and are fully competent with the most up to date software.  Our clients are in public and private
sectors, including government bodies, developers, main contractors and owners.

The
successful candidate will assist in the preparation of high-quality engineering
design for a broad range of civil and structural engineering projects. All work
carried out in accordance with company ISO 9001 procedures.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist
    in the planning, design, and execution of civil and structural engineering
    projects, including water resources, group water schemes, retail and
    residential developments.
  • Prepare
    detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications using software
    such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other industry-standard tools.
  • Perform
    engineering calculations and analyses to support project designs and
    ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Work
    closely with senior engineers, project managers, and other team members to
    ensure successful project delivery.
  • Communicate
    effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to understand
    project needs and provide technical support.
  • Revise
    drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements.
  • Prepare
    technical reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate project
    progress and findings.
  • Ensure
    accurate and up-to-date project records and documentation.
  • Willingness
    and responsive to the demands and coordination of other design team
    professionals, clients and contractors.
  • Conduct
    site visits and surveys to gather data and assess project requirements.
  • Be
    able to prioritise, work to tight deadlines and deliver projects on time.
  • Excellent
    written and verbal communication (fluent in English).

QEHS
MS Responsibilities

  • Comply with SDS Quality,
    Environmental, Health & Safety (QEHS)
    Management System requirements, i.e. perform work according to process
    documents and procedures, and maintain document information/complete
    department forms/records as required.
  • Understand and apply the SDS Quality,
    Environmental, Health & Safety policy statements in all aspects of
    work.
  • Contribute towards achieving company’s SDS QEHS objectives.
  • Ensure that the needs and requirements of the company’s internal staff
    and customers are understood and delivered.
  • Help develop and improve the
    company’s internal processes and management system by
    reporting corrective actions, updates and improvement ideas.
