We are looking for a motivated Engineer to join our team and help create and improve tools in the PlayStation SDK used by game developers worldwide. These include tools to manage content, perform firmware updates, load and run game code, carry out remote configuration, capture console, screen and controller logs, remote view consoles and also a distributed resource management system.
We are offering a 12-month fixed-term contract as part of our wider Graduate Programme within the Product and Technology group. This programme is designed to provide a structured early-career experience, combining hands-on work with dedicated development opportunities. As part of the scheme, you will have access to a speaker series featuring leaders and experts from across the organisation, a range of training opportunities to build professional skills, and regular opportunities to connect and network with fellow graduates across the Product and Technology organisation.
Responsibilities
- Analysis of customer requirements to produce feature and or application designs
- Provide estimates, design, develop and deliver work to schedule
- Investigate, debug, and resolve issues with both existing and new code features
- Participate in requirement and architectural discussions, collaborate with other teams and work in an agile environment
- Attend periodic in-person workshops or team events (with the possibility of travel)

Qualifications
- Strong debugging, profiling and performance tuning skills
- BSc /MSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years experience programming in a high level language with a preference towards C# or C++
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of algorithms, data structures and software architecture
- Experience with UI frameworks and technologies including .NET, Avalonia, WPF and / or MFC
- Skilled in using Git, TeamCity, or similar CI/CD workflows
- Knowledge of dynamic scripting languages (e.g. Python)
