Graduate Fund Associate
The Business
Harrington Cooper Asset Management (HCAM) is
a fund management company, fund platform and is a wholly owned subsidiary of
Harrington Cooper 2025 LTD, a specialist distribution firm founded in 2006,
that has raised in excess of USD 10bn for third-party asset managers.
HCAM AUM has grown over the
last year, there are ambitious plans to expand the sub-funds during 2027.
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will join a dynamic
and growing fund management company, gaining broad exposure to the day-to-day
management of UCITS funds and the wider asset management industry. The role
will provide the opportunity to develop an understanding of fund structures,
investment markets, regulatory requirements, client reporting and the
relationships between the various stakeholders involved in managing an
investment fund.
HCAM has ambitious plans to
expand its fund platform and sub-fund offering during 2027, providing the
successful candidate with the opportunity to play an important role in
supporting this growth. The role will also involve identifying and implementing
opportunities to use AI and technology to improve processes and efficiencies
across the business.
The successful candidate will
work closely with senior colleagues, investment managers, clients, service
providers and regulatory stakeholders, providing broad exposure to different
areas of the business and a strong foundation for a career in asset management.
The Position:
The successful candidate will support the
management and ongoing development of HCAM's funds and platform. Key
responsibilities will include:
- Manage tools for creating reporting to support data to
vendors, clients and regulators of the Fund Management Company and ICAV - Project manage new fund launches on the HCAM platform
- Relationship management for HCAM third party
investment managers on the platform - Liaise with all
stakeholders, e.g. Harrington Cooper 2025 LTD (UK); fund administrators;
lawyers; ICAV & HCAM boards, etc. - Identifying opportunities to improve processes
through automation, AI and other technology solutions - Supporting ad-hoc projects and initiatives as
HCAM continues to grow
The Individual
We are looking for a highly motivated and
detail-oriented graduate with a genuine interest in financial markets and asset
management. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and organisational
skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple
deadlines in a professional environment.
- The ability to work independently and take ownership
of tasks without significant oversight - A genuine interest in investment markets, asset
management and financial services - Ideally, some relevant internship or work experience
within financial services or funds, although we are flexible depending on the
individual - Basic understanding of investment funds, fund
regulations and frameworks - Highest standards of integrity, professionalism and
work ethic - A willingness to learn, develop and take on increasing
responsibility as the business grows - Strong Excel skills and some fluency with mainstream
