Description
Red Flag, the award-winning public relations and public affairs consultancy, now part of Ankura – a global expert services firm with more than 2,000 staff in 35 offices – is scaling operations and expanding its international client portfolio. We are currently looking for applicants for our graduate programme in Dublin. We are seeking intellectually curious, ambitious, and driven graduates who aspire to a career in strategic communications, public affairs, and public relations.
Founded in 2013, Red Flag has grown rapidly in stature and reputation. We now represent and advise the biggest companies, coalitions, and industry associations across the globe from our offices in Dublin, Brussels, London, Washington DC, and Cape Town.
Successful applicants will work with a broad range of clients, including public and private sector, multi-national companies, and leading trade associations. You will gain hands-on experience, developing your skills across strategic consulting, political and regulatory advice, reputation management, crisis communications, and campaigning. You will also have the opportunity to interact with our offices in Brussels, Cape Town, London, and Washington DC.
Red Flag believes strongly in promoting from within, so graduates who excel during this programme may be offered a full-time position.
What We Are Looking For
- Graduates with a minimum of 2.1 postgraduate qualification in a relevant field
- Ideally, studies in communications, politics, international relations, public affairs, public relations, or digital media
- Excellent writing and research skills
- Proficiency in content creation for digital and social media
- A genuine desire to work in public relations and public affairs
- Self-starters with great initiative and the ability to provide clear insights
- A creative approach and good team player
How to Apply
Interested applicants should upload a CV and a 600-word-max critique of a public relations, public affairs, or political campaign. The critique should include a brief synopsis of the issue at stake, how the campaign was run, and how effective it was. It should also include recommendations on how to improve the campaign.

Placement Details
This role will be a six-month paid graduate placement based in Red Flag’s Dublin office, with hybrid working available. The position(s) will commence in September 2026 with a remuneration of €30,000 per annum pro-rata.
