Graduate Quantity Surveyor
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate/Junior
Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a
recent graduate / early-career QS to develop hands-on experience across all
stages and ranges of construction projects. You will work closely with senior
surveyors and project managers to support cost management, procurement, and
contract administration etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist
in preparing cost estimates, measures, bills of quantities, budgets and
tender documents - Assist
in measurement and preparation of interim valuation of works on site - Liaise
with subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to obtain quotations and
manage procurement. - Assist
in assessing variations, claims, and final accounts including payments of
sub-contractors & suppliers - Monitor
project costs and report on any variances, value engineering opportunities
or potential risks - Ensure
compliance with company procedures and industry standards - Conduct
site visits and help maintain accurate project records - Support
senior QS and project teams in contract administration and commercial
reporting - Attend
site meetings and liaise with site teams to ensure cost-effective project
delivery
Requirements
- Degree
or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics (or equivalent) - Strong
numerical and analytical skills - Excellent
communication and organisational abilities - Proficiency
in Microsoft Excel, outlook etc; experience with Cubit / Buildsoft is an
advantage - Attention
to detail and Ability to work both independently and as part of a team - Full
driving licence preferred
