We are currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our team and build a rewarding career within a progressive and supportive environment.

The Role

As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with our experienced commercial and project management teams, gaining hands-on experience across all aspects of quantity surveying and construction cost management.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to develop practical industry skills while working on exciting construction projects from inception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing cost estimates and budgets.
  • Support the procurement and tendering process.
  • Measure and value works completed on site.
  • Assist with subcontractor procurement and account management.
  • Prepare interim valuations and final accounts.
  • Monitor project costs and report on financial performance.
  • Assist in identifying and managing commercial risks.
  • Maintain accurate records and project documentation.
  • Liaise with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Support the commercial team in achieving project objectives.

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Full driving licence and access to transport is desirable.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Desirable:

  • Placement or internship experience within the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of Irish construction contracts and procurement processes.
  • Familiarity with cost management software.
