We are currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our team and build a rewarding career within a progressive and supportive environment.
The Role
As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with our experienced commercial and project management teams, gaining hands-on experience across all aspects of quantity surveying and construction cost management.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to develop practical industry skills while working on exciting construction projects from inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing cost estimates and budgets.
- Support the procurement and tendering process.
- Measure and value works completed on site.
- Assist with subcontractor procurement and account management.
- Prepare interim valuations and final accounts.
- Monitor project costs and report on financial performance.
- Assist in identifying and managing commercial risks.
- Maintain accurate records and project documentation.
- Liaise with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- Support the commercial team in achieving project objectives.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Full driving licence and access to transport is desirable.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Desirable:
- Placement or internship experience within the construction industry.
- Knowledge of Irish construction contracts and procurement processes.
- Familiarity with cost management software.
