We are looking for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join GagaMuller. You will collaborate with experienced, diverse, and passionate teams while developing your career within Cost Management and Commercial Project Delivery.

The Opportunity
Based in our Dublin office, the Graduate Quantity Surveyor will support the Commercial team in delivering cost management and quantity surveying services across major construction and infrastructure projects throughout Ireland and Europe.
Working alongside Senior Quantity Surveyors, Commercial Leads, Project Managers, Design Teams, Contractors, and Client stakeholders, you will receive structured mentoring while developing your understanding of procurement, cost planning, contract administration, commercial reporting, valuations, and change management.
This role provides an excellent foundation for graduates looking to build a long-term career in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management while gaining exposure to complex, multidisciplinary construction projects.
Responsibilities
1. Scope & Delivery Management
Assist with procurement activities including preparation of tender documentation and contractor enquiries.
Support quantity take-offs using BIM-enabled software and digital construction tools.
Assist with cost planning, budgeting, valuations, and commercial reporting activities.
Support subcontractor package management throughout the project lifecycle.
Learn how commercial management supports successful project delivery.
2. Stakeholder Coordination
Work closely with Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers, Design Teams, Contractors, and Client stakeholders.Attend project meetings, commercial reviews, and coordination workshops.
Assist in maintaining effective communication across multidisciplinary project teams.
Support collaboration between commercial, design, construction, scheduling, and project controls teams.
Build strong working relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
3. Risk & Compliance Management
- Support change management by assisting with the assessment of variations and commercial impacts.
Assist in identifying commercial risks and opportunities throughout project delivery.
Learn how construction contracts, procurement processes, and commercial governance are managed.
Support reviews of programme updates, RFIs, and project documentation.
Assist with ensuring commercial activities comply with project procedures and contractual requirements.
4. Reporting & Documentation
- Assist with preparing monthly cost reports, forecasts, valuations, and cashflow reports.
Maintain procurement logs, commercial trackers, and project documentation.
Support preparation of subcontractor final accounts and commercial close-out documentation.
Assist with earned value reporting and project cost analysis.
Maintain accurate commercial records throughout the project lifecycle.
5. Collaboration & Integration
- Work collaboratively with Commercial, Project Management, BIM, Design, Construction, and Scheduling teams.
Learn how cost management integrates with programme delivery and project controls.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the Commercial team.
Promote a proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused working environment.
Develop your technical and professional skills through mentoring and practical project experience.
Qualifications
- Recently completed or currently completing an NFQ Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, and Construction Project Delivery.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Exposure to CostX, Cubit, BIM software, or digital construction tools is advantageous but not essential.
What Experience We Are Looking For
- Recent graduate or up to 2 years' experience within Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering, or Commercial Management.
- Placement, internship, university project, or graduate experience within the construction industry is desirable.
- An interest in procurement, commercial management, cost planning, and project delivery.
- Basic understanding of construction project lifecycles and commercial processes.
- Familiarity with CostX, Cubit, BIM-enabled quantity take-offs, or digital construction tools is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop within a collaborative project environment.
