Role:
To support
the Health & Safety team in ensuring compliance with Irish health and
safety legislation and company procedures across active construction sites,
while developing the knowledge and skills to become a qualified H&S
professional
Key
Responsibilities
- Assist with site safety inspections
and audits on active construction projects - Support preparation and review of
Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) - Help ensure compliance with the
Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and Construction Regulations 2013 - Participate in incident/accident
investigations and prepare basic reports - Carry out site inductions for workers
and subcontractors - Assist in delivering toolbox talks
and safety briefings - Monitor site activities for unsafe
practices, PPE compliance, and hazards - Support implementation of the
Construction Stage Safety Plan - Maintain H&S documentation,
records, and audit trails - Work with site management and
subcontractors to promote a positive safety culture - Attend coordination meetings with
project managers, engineers, and foremen
Qualifications
& Experience
- Degree or Level 7/8 qualification in,
Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Construction
Management (with H&S focus) - Strong understanding of Irish
construction site operations - Knowledge of risk assessment
principles - Good communication skills for
site-based work with contractors - Competence in Microsoft Office (Word,
Excel, reporting tools) - Willingness to learn, adapt, and
develop within a fast-paced construction environment
