Homeless Primary Care Team Nurse
We’re
recruiting a Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse
(RPN) to join our Homeless Primary Care Team.
This is a
unique opportunity to work in inclusion health, supporting people with complex
medical and social needs who often face significant barriers to accessing care.
Working
alongside a multidisciplinary team of GPs, outreach workers, and partner
services, you will help improve access to healthcare for some of the most
vulnerable people in our community.
The role is
a mix of inreach and outreach, working across hostels, community settings, and
alongside hospital inclusion health teams. It’s fast-paced, varied, and very
much grounded in the realities of frontline care.
You’ll be
joining a team that is supportive, experienced, and committed to delivering
care in a way that is accessible, respectful, and consistent.
About the
Role
The
successful candidate will:
- Deliver nursing care and health
interventions to people experiencing homelessness. - Support GP-led clinics and outreach
services across Dublin. - Provide wound care, chronic disease
management, vaccinations, phlebotomy, and health assessments. - Coordinate referrals and follow-up care
with health and social care services. - Participate in street outreach with the
Dublin Outreach Team. - Help ensure safe, effective, and
person-centred service delivery.
Essential
Requirements
- Registered with the Nursing and
Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) as an RGN or RPN. - Minimum 2 years post-registration
experience, including experience in a relevant clinical setting. - Strong communication, organisational,
and clinical skills. - An interest in inclusion health and
working with marginalised groups.
What We
Offer
- Permanent, pensionable position.
- Salary: €37,744 – €56,587
(depending on experience and in line with Safetynet pay policy). - 35-hour working week (Monday–Friday).
- 25 days annual leave.
- Supportive multidisciplinary team and
opportunities for professional development.
Location: Based at 60 Amiens Street, Dublin 1, with
travel across Dublin required.
