Music & Events Promotor
Purpose of the RoleThe role will be responsible for coordinating and promoting all live entertainment and themed events in the premises. This role combines creativity with strong organisational and leadership skills to ensure our entertainment offering enhances guest experience, drives footfall, and supports the brand’s image as a leading hospitality and nightlife destination.
Key ResponsibilitiesEntertainment Coordination• Plan, book, and manage all entertainment acts including bands, DJs, guest performers, and in-house entertainers.• Schedule a balanced and appealing entertainment calendar across the four music spaces within The Grand.• Coordinate and set up sound checks and performance times with the Sound Engineering team.• Research and find the best acts/ bands/ DJs across Kerry, Munster, and Ireland.• Visiting and watching offsite live performances of potential acts/ bands/ DJs.• Meeting and greeting new acts/ bands/ DJs when performing at The Grand.• Watching acts/ bands/ DJs when performing in The Grand to see how audience receives them.• Building good relationships with the acts/ bands/ DJs, their talent agents and/or management.• Research and awareness of local venues, festivals, celebrations – scheduling acts/ bands/ DJs which compliment these.• Awareness of local, national, and international sporting games (not putting on acts/ bands/ DJs when games are playing).• Ensuring the Sound Engineering team delivers a premium sound for the acts / bands/ DJs.• Address and resolve promptly any issues with performers and sound quality.• Prepare weekly entertainment reports including event outcomes, feedback, and performance insights.
