Company Description

My English Sister is an English language learning and childcare agency based in Lyon. Our mission is to support the English language development of French children through fun, personalized and creative lessons and activities.


We are looking for an enthusiastic Pedagogical Development Assistant to join us for a six-month internship. This role is ideal for students on their year abroad or recent graduates eager to gain hands-on experience in both education and creative project development.


This internship is a unique opportunity to get involved in a company passionate about early childhood education and see your work come to life.



Role Overview

The role is split into two parts:

  • 50% Pedagogical Development

  • 50% Teaching English and working with children


You will contribute directly to shaping the learning experience of our students, while also building valuable teaching experience.



Key Tasks & Responsibilities

1. Create & Develop Teaching Materials

Design fun, engaging physical and digital resources that support our teachers and bring lessons to life.

Examples: activity guides (PDF), flashcards, activity books, teaching programs.

2. Enrich Our Pedagogical Offer

Contribute to exciting, high-impact projects, including:

  • Developing My English Sister’s first bilingual storybook

  • Modernizing our teaching methods using AI tools

  • Expanding our online teaching offer for learners of all ages

3. Support Marketing & Communication

Help share our pedagogical creations with families and the wider community:

  • Ensure materials are displayed accurately on the website

  • Provide input on email campaigns

  • Create visuals and content for social media

4. Use AI to Elevate Our Teaching Tools

Learn to use emerging technologies:

  • Create prompts to streamline workflows

  • Generate images and videos for lessons

  • Help integrate AI into learning experiences and activity design

Candidate Requirements

  • Fluent English speakers (native or C2)

  • French level A2–B1 preferred

  • Minimum 6 months experience working with children

  • Student status (a convention de stage must be issued by a university)

  • Proactive, creative, organized, and autonomous

  • Strong communication skills (email, phone, and in-person)
