Podiatrists
Podiatrists Wanted – Trade Ireland for Tasmania (You Might Never Look Back)
Ever thought about taking your podiatry career somewhere that feels a bit like home… only sunnier, slower, and surrounded by spectacular nature?
Tasmania offers a lifestyle many Irish clinicians find instantly familiar: green landscapes, friendly communities, fresh local food, and a strong connection to the outdoors. Yes—we do have winters (you’ll feel right at home), but our summers are long, mild, and glorious, with some of the best beaches in Australia just down the road.
Why Tasmania?
-
Tasmania offers a quality of life that’s increasingly hard to find elsewhere.
- 🌿 Space to breathe – shorter commutes, less traffic, and more time for the things that matter
- 🏖 World‑class beaches and coastline, often uncrowded and right on your doorstep
- 🥾 Wilderness, national parks and walking tracks everywhere you turn
- 🥕 Exceptional fresh food – local seafood, produce, farmers’ markets, great cafés and wineries
- 🌤 Four true seasons – cool, cosy winters and beautiful, mild summers perfect for outdoor living
- ✈️ Easy travel – quick flights to mainland Australia for a warm‑weather getaway whenever you feel like it
- ❤️ Strong community feel – friendly towns, welcoming workplaces, and a genuine sense of belonging
For many Irish clinicians, Tasmania feels comfortingly familiar — green, coastal, community‑focused — but with more sunshine, space, and opportunity.
The Roles
- Statewide opportunities – take your pick of lifestyle:
- City living
- Country towns
- Coastal and beachside communities
- Roles are with small, private podiatry practices
- You’ll be treated like family, not a number
- Well‑supported environments with experienced teams
What’s on Offer
- 💰 $90,000 – $130,000+ depending on experience
- Long‑term, stable positions
- Varied caseloads and experienced mentors
- CPD Allowance
- Investment in staff development and growth
- Friendly and supportive teams
- Flexibility and work/life balance
- Excellent lifestyle‑to‑income balance
Registration (AHPRA)
Podiatrists who hold the following Irish qualifications are generally eligible for direct General Registration with AHPRA:
- Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Podiatry (2017–2019)
- Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Podiatric Medicine (2020–2023)
If you hold different podiatry qualifications, you may still be eligible to practice in Australia.
If you’re looking for a career opportunity that combines professional satisfaction with an outstanding lifestyle, Tasmania may be the perfect next step.
