Residence Supervisor Job Description

Emerald Cultural Institute provide a transformative
educational and cultural experience within a positive, nurturing environment
where both students and staff can grow and prepare to meet their personal and professional
goals.

 

We are currently recruiting for Residence
Supervisors to work in our busy summer centres from the middle of June to the
middle of August. We operate campuses across the City Centre, Rathgar and Milltown
areas.

 

Responsible For: Looking after students staying in our
Residence in Dublin.               
Looking after the welfare of the students in the residence. Ensuring the
smooth and successful promotion and delivery of the evening activities program,
ensuring students, aged 11-17 years are motivated and that all activities are
run to a high standard.

Reporting To: Duty Manager.

 

Responsibilities:

·        
Assisting the Residence Duty Manager in planning,
implementing and supervising of evening activity program.

·        
Ensuring the safety and welfare of students at all
times, maintaining student behaviour and guaranteeing rules and regulations of
Residence are followed by monitoring students on site.

·        
Assisting in general with the smooth running of the
residence, ensuring the students enjoy their stay.

·        
Creating a positive and entertaining atmosphere for
all students, ensuring all students feel included and pro-actively encourage
students to take part in the activities.

·        
Being willing to deal with any unexpected emergency
that may occur in the Residence during the night.

  • Completing administration
    records of students as required and reports on any issue.
  • Co-operating with the Duty
    Manager and on occasions with agents and accreditation inspectors, in the
    observation and evaluation of accommodation.

Any other duties as requested.

Essential Criteria

·        
Experience
in a similar role, customer service, supervising and/or administration.

·        
Must enjoy working with children and young adults.

·        
Must be legally entitled to work
in Ireland.

·        
Must have Garda Vetting
Certification.

·        
Fluent in communicative and
written English.

·        
Enthusiastic with high energy and
be able to motivate students.

·        
Excellent organisational and
time management skills.

·        
Must be a Team Player with a ‘can
do attitude’.

·        
Must have completed all Online
Training Modules.

·        
Must attend the All Staff
Training Day.

·        
Must complete Tusla Child
Protection Training.

·        
Must be
available to work July 2026.

·        
Must be
able to able to commute to City Centre, Rathgar and Milltown.
