Support Worker - Graduate Programme Dublin: 2027 Graduate Programme
This Support Worker-Graduate Programme position offers a fantastic opportunity to grow your professional skills and make a difference. The Support Worker will be a member of a multi-disciplined team using holistic approaches to support Depaul service users. Working within the principle of harm reduction where residents receive a high degree of care, support, and dignity, Depaul has a commitment to service user participation and to empowering residents to manage their own lives.
Key Responsibilities
- To encourage and support service users to develop skills in managing their daily living.
- In conjunction with residents and the rest of the team, ensure that the service is kept to a good standard of tidiness, cleanliness, and hygiene, including communal areas.
- Encouraging service users to take responsibility for maintaining their own environment.
- Observe and attend key worker sessions with service users when required.
- In conjunction with the project team, assist residents with personal monies, service charge payments, etc., where necessary.
- Carry out project administration tasks such as the upkeep of petty cash, project statistics, invoices, record keeping, Service User's files, OTIS, IR, and AR completion, etc.
- Ensure that Health and Safety standards are met within the project in accordance with Depaul's Health and Safety policy and the project's Safety Statement.
- Attend and participate in team meetings and staff team days.
- Participate in ongoing graduate programmes and events.
Personal Experience and Requirements
- Qualification in the Social Care field: Social Care, Psychology, Social Science, Criminology, or Community Development.
- An understanding of why people become homeless, the issues they present with, and what supports can be offered in homeless services to service users with complex support needs.
- Good communication skills and computer literacy.
- Knowledge and understanding of Depaul's vision, mission, and values.
- Ability to work shifts.
- Relevant experience within the Community and Voluntary sector.

- Driving Licence.
