As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the management team by owning the execution of the shift, ensuring high operational standards, strong team performance, and great guest experiences across our restaurant venues.At any given time, you might be:● Coaching and supporting team members on shift through real-time feedback and guidance● Reinforcing training on service quality, food safety, and brand standards during service● Leading and “quarterbacking” the team during service to ensure pace, flow, and correct positioning● Leading from the front by driving high standards, productivity, and professionalism● Acting as the main point of accountability for the shift, including opening, peak, and closing execution
Key Responsibilities as a Team LeaderAs a Team Leader, your primary responsibility is to own the execution of your shift and ensure the restaurant operates safely, efficiently, and to Mad Egg standards at all times.On shift, you will be responsible for:● Leading the team on the floor and in the kitchen during service, ensuring correct positioning, pace, and flow● Ensuring all food safety, health & safety, and operational checklists are completed accurately and on time● Driving food quality, service standards, cleanliness, and brand consistency through hands-on leadership● Managing labour deployment during the shift, including break management and real-time adjustments to protect productivity● Communicating clearly with the management team regarding incidents, challenges, performance gaps, and handovers● Supporting training by reinforcing existing procedures and standards (not creating or changing them)● Setting the tone for the shift through attitude, urgency, and strong role modellingThis is a hands-on operational role, focused on execution, standards, and performance during service.
