Temporary Agricultural Development Officer Grade I Panel
This competition seeks
to establish recruitment panels from which temporary Advisor and Education
vacancies in Advisory Regions will be filled. The roles will be based in various
locations nationwide.
Agricultural
Development Officers play an important role in delivering Teagasc’s advisory,
education and training services. Depending on their role and location,
successful candidates will support the development of farm businesses, helping
clients improve technical and financial performance and manage resources
sustainably.
Candidates will engage
with farmers through activities such as individual consultations, farm visits,
technical workshops, farm walks, open days and discussion groups. They will
work across relevant enterprise areas, such as dairy, drystock or tillage, providing
technical advice and support with applicable schemes.
Successful candidates
will also contribute to the development and delivery of adult farmer education
and training programmes within a Teagasc Advisory Region. These roles offer the
opportunity to work directly with farmers, share practical knowledge and
support the future development of Irish agriculture.
