Role Overview
The UCC Library

UCC students an exciting opportunity to gain paid work experience in an
academic library environment.
Under the general
direction of an experienced professional supervisor, the Intern will acquire
hands-on experience in a particular discipline within the library
environment. They will work with staff from across the Library team,
engage with library clients and work collaboratively on an assigned
project.
Project
details
UCC Library is seeking a motivated,
detail-oriented intern to support the final implementation and launch of its
new library website. The intern will collaborate with the project team on
front-end implementation using HTML and CSS, applying approved designs
accurately across the site. Key tasks include assisting with URL migration,
checking redirects, mapping content, and supporting user testing after launch.
The role focuses on usability, accessibility, and structured content
management, offering hands-on experience on a high-profile digital project that
supports students, researchers, and staff at University College Cork.
This
role is ideal for someone who understands the value of good design,
