About University of Salford
Postgraduate study
We offer an extensive range of support for postgraduate students. Our postgraduate training programme will help you develop the skills you need for effective research, whether you’re planning a career in academia or the public or private sectors. Our online doctoral programme enables candidates who cannot commit to a full- or part-time degree, to complete their PhD with Salford.
Facilities
We have industry-standard facilities across our vibrant campus, from TV studios to a radiography centre, a 350-seat theatre to wind tunnels, fight simulators, a world-class human performance laboratory, the world’s only fully climate-controlled Energy House, and much more.
We’ve recently installed a brand new simulation suite for our healthcare students. Designed to replicate a real hospital environment, it includes: an adult and children’s ward, a treatment room, a nurse’s station and more. It also has human patient simulators that can imitate blinking, breathing and giving birth.
Our commitment to offering industry-standard learning facilities continues with the New Adelphi Building. This £55 million home for Arts and Media features high-spec studios, performance spaces, tuition rooms and an outdoor amphitheatre.
