Key programme benefits to future students

It is a unique course in that it facilitates two independent streams of dance, Irish Traditional Dance and Contemporary Dance. Although independent, interactivity between these two dance genres is facilitated in the form of shared workshops, seminars and electives.

Entry requirements

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree (NFQ Level 8) with at least a second-class honour, grade 2 (2:2) in a relevant or appropriate subject.



An interview and audition (online) will be required in all cases. Candidates will be required to submit additional audio-visual material via online links that demonstrate previous experience in contemporary dance.

We encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet the standard entry requirements, as long as you can show that you have the knowledge, skills, and experience needed for the programme.
