Autumn Modules
• Introduction to Postgraduate Research (on campus) (6 ECTs)
• Entering the Adademic Community (3 ECTs) on campus
• 3 x Research hand elective modules chosen from a suite of UL-wide and specialist modules over a three-Year period (6-12-ECTs) each on campus, online and blended
• PG Workshops and Professional Portfolio level 10 (12 ECTs)
Spring Modules
• Research Integirty (3 Ects) on campus, onlline
• PG Workshops and Professional Portfolio level 10 (12 ECTs), no contact hours
Entry requirements
A brief research proposal accompanied by a CV is usually helpful at the initial enquiry stage. Details of our expert teams across the faculty and suitability for appropriate supervision are listed further below under contributing departments section. Feel free to contact an appropriate staff member with a view to supervision for your research project prior to submitting an application, alternatively, research proposals can be submitted directly to the programme administrator in the event that you are unable to identify a suitable person for potential supervision.
Applications must be made using the https://www.ul.ie/gps/about/how-apply. Applications may be submitted at any time throughout the year and will be considered by the Post Graduate Research Committee, which generally meets every month. Registration for new entrants to the programme takes place in October and February each year.
