To provide a knowledge of trends and current approaches in manufacturing such and how these provide a competitive advantage in a global manufacturing context.



To expose students to industrial equipment, standards and problems to ensure graduates have the in-depth knowledge and practical skills to contribute to industry.



Programme follows the Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate (CDIO) approach to delivering content, which ensures students work on multiple project based assignments throughout the programme. Thereby improving teamwork, communication and integration skills as well as comprehensive technical knowledge in areas such as PLC programming, Solid Modelling, Systems Integration, Industrial standards etc.

Entry requirements

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree (NFQ Level 8) with at least a second-class honour, grade 2 (2:2) in a relevant discipline.



The university may shortlist and invite you to an interview.

The programme will equip graduates for careers manufacturing and automated manufacturing systems.
