Key Account Management - Online

What is Key Account Management?

Key Account Management (KAM) is crucial for cultivating valuable customer relationships. This course is for experienced, new or aspiring key account managers or those working in a commercial or not-for-profit organisation, preferably but not necessarily as an account manager. You will be challenged by a full and rigorous curriculum on this global first course and by a peer group of like-minded professionals seeking to develop their KAM credentials from across the globe. This programme is delivered in partnership with our valued partners, AKAM who manage the recruitment process.

Course Content

The course runs from January to October with three sequential modules. The course progresses through Module 1 ‘KAM Essentials’, which starts by agreeing and exploring what KAM really is – and is not – to the relationships at the heart of the strategy and the role of the key account manager, i.e. expectations of the broad scope of the job. The next Module is entirely focused, step-by-step, on mandatory preparation: developing a powerful strategic key account plan for a real, specific customer, which is itself a practical business mission-requirement. Module 3, KAM Implementation, concentrates on the actions, issues and adjacent business functions involved in fulfilling that plan and finishes with a look at KAM in the context of corporate strategy.
