What is Law?
The MA in Law is a part time course. There is one taught module in Advanced Research Methods and students complete a 15,000 – 20,000 word thesis under the supervision of a law lecturer. Students can generally complete the MA over the course of the academic year whilst working full time.

Entry requirements
Minimum Entry Requirements?
Graduates of the Dublin Institute of Technology or TU Dublin Postgraduate Diploma in Law, only, are eligible to apply. These graduates must have obtained an upper merit in their PGDIP to be considered.
Application dates
Applications for full-time and some part-time postgraduate programmes commencing in September 2026 are now open. Applications for the remaining part-time programmes will open in February 2026. Please check individual course pages for application details.
