Linguistics - Applied Linguistics - International
Key programme benefits to future students
This programme offers students an option to do an international praxis semester (12- week internship or placement) or a traditional dissertation in the summer semester. It offers students an opportunity to spend the second semester on external academic placement with a partner institution abroad, gaining valuable international experience.
This course offers an opportunity to gain career development skills. It enables international students to enhance their English skills. There is an option for language graduates to continue with the study of one or two languages to a very high level.
The programme offers a wide range of options to allow students to tailor their choice of electives to particular pathways, e.g. teaching, translation, sociolinguistics or language and technology.
Key Fact:
Students on the MA programme can avail of a study placement as part of their programme of study. They can also choose to complete a 12 week internship instead of completing the MA dissertation.
