Nursing - Professional Nursing - Waterford
The MSc in Professional Nursing is a National programme that is fully approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Its aim is to provide an accessible, innovative, flexible and practiceorientated sustainable educational experience that will attract and retain nurses who will work within an integrated health service. It is delivered via a blend of online and face-to-face delivery to allow greater flexibility to learners.
The programme provides the nurse with a broad based educational experience to practice at an advanced level. HSE staff may be eligible to apply for funding to their local NMPDU. The course is underpinned by an enquiry and practice based curriculum model that addresses the individual needs of the student while supporting practice development in service.

Entry requirements
Registered Nurse with NMBI. Currently employed in health care provision. Hold a Level 8 qualification. Applicants who do not have a level 8 qualification may apply for entry to the programme in accordance with the procedures outlined in the SETU Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) policy.
Duration
2 YEARS – PART-TIME
Blended: 1 contact day per week, 9 online days and 3 onsite days per semester.
