Organic & Biological Agriculture - Waterford
The MSc/PG Diploma in Organic and Biological Horticulture programmes are two year part-time taught postgraduate programmes that were developed to address the need for innovation and advanced knowledge and research capabilities in the organic horticulture sector.
The programmes are aimed at those already working in primary production and looking to upskill or diversify into the developing areas of organic and biological systems. The graduates will gain essential knowledge and skills in plant protection, landscape biodiversity, climate adaptation and resilience and enhanced soil and water management. Such advanced education cultivates entrepreneurship and promotes collaborative networks, which are crucial for driving change and addressing the national and global challenges of the horticulture industry.

Entry requirements
Applicants for the MSc in Organic and Biological Horticulture should hold a National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) Level 8 honours degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Forestry, Environmental, or other Science-related discipline. Where the demand exceeds the places available, offers will be made in rank order based on applicants’ Grade Point Average (GPA).
