Professional Practice

UL@Work is delighted to launch our NEW innovative and one-of-a-kind Master of Professional Practice, which combines three Professional Diplomas stacked over 5 years. A graduate from University of Limerick or elsewhere with two existing Professional Diplomas (or awards equivalent to 60 ECTS Credits at Level 9) can use these to achieve a Master of Professional Practice. Our master's degree is fully flexible, allowing you to stack programmes across disciplines of interest and value, from AI, Data Analytics and Cybersecurity to Strategic Leadership and Human Resource Management to Communications and Law and Technology.



Being highly adaptable and multi-skilled is essential for executives and leaders in today's fast-paced and constantly evolving business world. 'T-shaped professionals' possess a deep expertise in a particular field and a broad understanding of other disciplines. A diverse skillset validated with a master's will increase your career growth opportunities and contribute to your organisation's success.

Subjects taught

To be eligible for this programme applicants must possess two Professional Diplomas (or awards equivalent to 60 ECTS Credits at Level 9) from University of Limerick or elsewhere achieved in the last 5 years. You will be given 60 exempted credits upon entry and earn the remaining 30 credits by completing a third Professional Diploma, coupled with a self-reflection assignment. You will critically evaluate your skills and competencies in relation to your professional development. On successful completion, you will be awarded a Master of Professional Practice.



The following Professional Diplomas are eligible pathways to gain the remaining 30 ECTS Credits required to achieve a Master of Professional Practice.

Entry requirements

Applicants are normally expected to hold a primary honours degree (minimum H2.2), and hold 60 ECTS credits (eg. 2 x Professional Diplomas or a Graduate Diploma) that have been awarded within the last 5 years.
