Psychotherapeutic Approaches to Mental Health - Waterford
This 10 credit programme aims to explore the similarities and differences in the psychotherapeutic offerings in relation to young people’s mental health.
• The student will be introduced to the following approaches; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Behavioural Therapy.
• The module will outline the Cake Model of Mental Health assessment with practice sessions and workshops where the student will be required to carry out a structured assessment of young people and their families.
Entry requirements
Must hold the equivalent to a Level 8 in an appropriate discipline.
