Tesco Ireland

Applications are now open for our 2018 graduate programme! Closing date 21st January 2018.

A recurring theme when listening to people’s career stories in Tesco is people being given the opportunity to work in different areas of the business or being able to try roles that they might not have originally considered.  They talk about how the opportunities they have been given have helped them to progress their career in ways they hadn’t previously imagined.  Tesco’s size and scale make these opportunities possible.  We give people the tools to shape their own future, with a career path that meets their own personal goals and aspirations.

With nearly 13,000 colleagues throughout Ireland, across our 149 stores, head office, and distribution centre, Tesco is one of Ireland’s largest retailers and household names with Irish consumers.  We have two and half times the product range size of our nearest competitor and clock up over 2 million customer transactions in our stores per week.  At an international level, we are one of the largest retailers in the world and a seamlessly connected global business, with more than 6,500 stores, 500,000 colleagues, and operations in 12 international markets.

Tesco is committed to investing in Ireland, working with 13,000 farming families across Ireland to offer our customers the freshest produce.  We are extremely proud of this fact as we are very passionate about food – this is something you’ll definitely notice when you join Tesco!

About our Graduate Programme

This year we redesigned our graduate programme and have created two distinct programmes, one dedicated to stores and the other located in head office.  Both programmes are 18 months long and commence with a two month in-store induction and management training programme before placements commence.  Intensive training is provided throughout each programme, which includes both on-the-job training and monthly leadership skills training.  We’ve also made sure that graduates have an extensive support network to help them all along the way. Also as part of the programme, graduates will be involved in creating some content for our social media channels.

Our new programmes are currently open for application until 21st January 2018 for graduates to start in September 2018.
