Founded in 1994, Complete Laboratory Solutions (CLS) is the highest accredited contract laboratory in Ireland, providing industry-leading sampling, analysis and fully trained micro and analytical analysts on contract to clients in the food, environmental, medical device, biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical sectors.

We offer bespoke managed service solutions that give clients the option of having our expert team on-site at their own facility or outsourcing those services to us here at CLS.

The Roles

  • QC Microbiology Analyst
  • QC Chemistry Analyst

Location: Training in Galway followed by relocation to our client sites.

Reporting to: Director of Outsourcing.

QC Microbiology Positions: Training is provided on the following:

  • GMP training on all aspects of a Laboratory Quality System including: Gowning, Laboratory Safety, completion of records/correction of errors, deviations, out of specification results, calibration, reference standards, recording of quality data as per GMP.
  • Water Testing as per USP, EP - Surface Water, Potable Water, Water for injection.
  • Preservative Efficacy Testing of Pharmaceutical Products.
  • Use of LIMS system for logging of samples.
  • Environmental Monitoring of Cleanrooms.
  • Microbial Limit Testing of Products and Active Ingredients (Sterile and Non – Sterile – TAMC, TYMC, Absence of Specific Organisms)
  • Bioburden Testing on Medical Devices.

QC Chemistry Positions: Training is provided on the following:

  • cGMP/Data Integrity training on all aspects of a Laboratory Quality System including gowning, laboratory safety, completion of records/correction of errors, deviations, out of specification results, calibrations, reference standards, recording of quality data as per cGMP.
  • HPLC - Waters 2695 HPLC with UV Detector.
  • UPLC.
  • TOC.
  • Wet Chemistry.
  • General laboratory duties – housekeeping including clean bench policy, glassware cleaning and washing, waste disposal, calibration of balances daily and calibration of auto-pipettes on a weekly basis etc.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ability to work independently and meet set timelines.
  • A strong team player who is both flexible and adaptable.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work under pressure.
  • Must be motivated, focused and technically strong.
  • GMP knowledge and understanding
  • Use of LIMS system for logging of samples.
  • Carry out laboratory testing to the highest standards.

Qualifications

  • A 3rd level qualification in Science or equivalent field.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
  • Good time management.
  • Knowledge of laboratory techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of staff within the organization
