About Us
Bean and Goose Chocolate is an award-winning, ethical chocolate business based in Gorey, Co. Wexford. We create small-batch chocolate using the world’s most sustainable cocoa and Irish ingredients. Our story is rooted in craftsmanship, creativity, and a deep connection to nature and community. From our purpose-built chocolate kitchen, we produce bars, slabs, and seasonal collections that reflect the beauty and richness of the Irish landscape.

We’re currently offering a short-term opportunity ideal for someone who has recently completed an MSc in Food Science, Product Development, Culinary Innovation, or a related field — someone looking to build their practical experience in a creative and hands-on environment.

The Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-focused individual to join our small production team during our busiest time of year. This is a hands-on, fixed-term role where you’ll gain practical experience working with our chocolatier and operations team to deliver our seasonal chocolate range.

This is an excellent stepping-stone for someone looking to develop their skills in high-quality, small-scale food production while being part of a values-led and growing food business.

Key Responsibilities

Support the day-to-day production of chocolate products: preparation, moulding, finishing

Assist with quality control and visual checks to ensure all products meet high standards

Take part in packing and labelling stock for retail, events, and online orders

Help maintain food safety, cleanliness, and smooth workflow in the kitchen

Assist the online store lead during busy dispatch periods

What We're Looking For

This role would suit a recent MSc graduate or early-career food professional who:

Qualified as Food Science, Functional Food Development, Culinary Innovation, or similar

Is practical, reliable, and enjoys hands-on work in a food production environment

Pays close attention to detail, particularly in product presentation and quality

Works well as part of a small, collaborative team

Has a genuine interest in sustainable food and craft chocolate

Perks & Benefits

Friendly, supportive team environment

Fixed hours: Monday to Thursday, 9am–4pm — no evenings or weekends

Staff discount on all Bean and Goose products

Training in chocolate handling, food safety, and artisan production techniques

Experience with a recognised Irish craft food brand

Work in a calm, scenic part of Wexford, 5 minutes from Ballymoney beach

A chance to contribute to a sustainable, design-led Irish business at an exciting time of growth
