A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our Digital Shopfloor (Automation/IT) Graduate Programme. These positions will contribute to developing and implementing key digital and automation initiatives or manufacturing facilities in our Company in Ireland. In addition, the role shall identify, develop and maintain credible relationships with global Automation and IT Centres of Excellence.
As part of our global Digital Manufacturing Operations team, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with talented and dedicated colleagues while developing and expanding your career with opportunities to rotate to global teams or other teams onsite or at other manufacturing facilities throughout the program.
Our Digital Shopfloor (Automation/IT) Graduate Program, based in our Brinny site in Cork is a 36-month program designed to strengthen the depth and breadth of technical, analytical, business and leadership capability at our Company. It provides opportunities for individuals to excel personally and professionally and impact on the organisation's goals and objectives in Compliance, Supply, Strategy & Profit Plan.
By offering real and meaningful roles in the delivery of key tactical projects and initiatives, we will enable the successful candidate to develop the core competencies as outlined above.
Bring energy, knowledge, innovation to carry out the following:
- Support of technologies such as DeltaV DCS, PLC/SCADA/OEM/BAS/Historian systems to the site, including new technologies.
- Work closely with the Enterprise Big Data Platform and Data Analytics teams leadership in the use of analytics and visualization solutions.
- Develop Electronic Batch Records.
- Supporting site operational automation teams in their day to day operations working closely with the business, Automation and IT technical staff and other engineering groups to collaborate in delivery high operational. The role will also have high collaboration with suppliers and system integrators.
- Process and equipment optimization in order to sustain and improve product quality, yields and throughput.
- Identifying continuous improvement activities and leading or participating in cross-functional teams. Supporting activities in the areas of cost reduction, process efficiency and operational excellence.
- Providing on-the-floor technical support to the Production Team Leaders for automated processes/equipment optimization, investigations and troubleshooting.
- Preparation of documentation associated with the projects in accordance with GDP (good documentation practice) and site procedures.
- Prepare, review and approval of technical documents, procedures, CAPAs, change control, deviations, metrics, etc.
What skills you will need:
In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:
- MSc/BSc. qualification (Engineering or Science) or equivalent.
- High level written and verbal communications with advanced PC skills.
- Self-motivated and ability to work as part of a team
- High personal integrity, credibility and energy. Demonstrated ability to work as part of diverse teams in an inclusive manner.
- Demonstrated ability to be self-driven with respect to driving results and implementing identified improvement initiatives.
