Musgrave is one of Europe’s most successful family-owned businesses, with a rich 150-year legacy in food and brand innovation. We're proud to serve communities across Ireland and Spain, feeding one in three people every day through 18 iconic brands like SuperValu, Centra, Mace, Frank and Honest, and Musgrave MarketPlace. By supporting thousands of retail and foodservice family businesses, we make a positive impact on the communities they serve. We're committed to becoming the most trusted and sustainable business in Ireland, and we're looking for dynamic, forward-thinking individuals to join us on this journey.

As we continue our journey toward becoming Ireland’s most trusted and sustainable business, we have an exciting opportunity for a successful candidate to join our Foodservice sales team as a Business Development Manager to cover county Kildare and surrounding counties as required.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll act as the face of Musgrave in your territory, helping customers grow their businesses while delivering results.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Winning new business by identifying and converting potential customers
  • Growing existing accounts by expanding product range and opportunities
  • Building strong customer relationships through regular engagement
  • Managing pricing, margins, and contracts to maximise profitability
  • Tracking performance and reporting insights on market trends and competitors
  • Planning your week effectively, managing accounts, and maintaining accurate records
  • Collaborating with internal teams to deliver best in class service to your customers

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in a previous people facing role
  • A strong interest in sales, food, hospitality or commercial business
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Commercial awareness and a willingness to learn about margins & profitability
  • A proactive, “can-do” attitude and ability to take initiative
  • Adaptability and openness to a fast-paced, field-based role
  • A full clean driving licence
  • A business-related degree (or similar)

Previous sales or food industry experience is a bonus—but not essential if you bring the right attitude.

If you’re a business graduate looking for a hands-on, high-impact role where you can develop real commercial skills and grow quickly this role could be for you
