Buying Intern - Perfumes & Cosmetics

Job Description

The intern will actively participate in new business acquisitions, including the setup procedures and brand and range management, contributing to their go-live status. This role offers a comprehensive introduction to luxury brand management and supplier relations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Local Buying Team with the implementation of the T1 store refurbishment.
• Collaborate with the Global Category team to execute CVP initiatives.
• Work with the Global Buying team to develop a sustainability plan for the category.
• Help create a launch presentation for new products scheduled for 2025.
• Support the category in the setup and maintenance of items.
• Ensure products are correctly set up in the system to guarantee accurate reporting.
• Assist in the setup of promotions and manage the marketing plan within budget constraints.
• Facilitate effective communication between the Buying team and internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure timely implementation of new supplier builds.
• Contribute to the implementation of new gifting concepts in-store.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Interest in the luxury retail sector and sustainability practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.
• Basic understanding of retail and buying processes.
• Analytical skills for accurate reporting and data management.
• Creative thinking for contributing to presentations and new concepts.
• Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new challenges.
