We now have a key opportunity for a Demand Planner to join our Market Co. Retail Sales Team. Reporting to the Demand Planning Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity for a data expert who can join the dots, tell the story and help shape our exciting and fast changing business. Key responsibilities will include the development of robust demand forecasts provided through insights and AI, analysis & data, and the development of strong relationships with key stakeholders in sales, supply and finance.
What's involved?
- Supporting all Business Units with Weekly and Monthly updates of the latest Market Data, Forecasting and Stock related updates.
- Assisting with Weekly and Monthly business reporting.
- Forecasting through our Demand Planning tool, Anaplan, by accurately inputting and updating the customers sales plans as updated by each sales function.
- Leading our S&OP Demand Reviews by collaborating with our Account Managers.
- Driving Forecast Accuracy improvements through new AI and Machine Learning forecasting functionality.
- Helping prepare our Rolling Forecasts (RF), Risk and Opportunities (R&O) scenarios with the Demand Planning Manager.
- Executing operational NPD launches by collaborating on new product forecast via Anaplan, coordinating with Sales, Supply Chain, Production, Finance and Marketing.
- Communicating new insight to Sales, Finance and Marketing based on the insight from market data.
- Managing Forecasting assumptions and alignment with Sales and Supply Chain.
- Preparing data to analyse and adjust forecast based on category/product trends along with changes in marketing and sales plans.
- Maintain KPI data to monitor and optimise forecast performance on an ongoing basis.
- Analyses the short term/long term forecast vs. actual, by promotion, business unit and major customer through report development, preparation, and review.
- Work with the Category and Insight specialist on preparing for range reviews.
- Prepare forecasts for new launches from a demand planning perspective and give proactive feedback to the Brand and Sales team as well.
- Prepared to adapt at key times and take on new challenges within the Retail Team.
- Working closely with the Domestic Operations and Customer Care to understand the stock status of our products to support decision making on forecasting and drive customer availability fulfilment.
What we're looking for
- FMCG / Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Excellent numeric abilities.
- Curious while being persistent and challenging.
- Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office - Powerpoint and Advanced Excel essential.
- Experience with SAP, Demand Planning tools, AI or Machine Learning would be an advantage but not a requirement.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to organise information.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
