Engineer Grade III (Mechanical & Electrical)
The Office of Public Works (OPW) is a key service provider to the Government. The ethos is to be client focused, to ensure timely delivery of services and to provide value for money. A core part of its remit is maintaining and presenting Ireland’s most iconic heritage properties and for the management and maintenance of the State’s property portfolio, providing accommodations to central Government Departments, An Garda Síochána and other State agencies. It is also the lead agency for flood risk management in Ireland.
The OPW currently has a vacancy in its Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Section for an Engineer Grade III (Mechanical & Electrical).
Reporting to an Engineer Grade II, the Engineer Grade III (Mechanical & Electrical) will be responsible for both the Mechanical and Electrical areas of work. They will be involved in preparing drawings, specifications, tender and contract documents, scheduling of planned maintenance in buildings and the supervising of specialist contractors.
