Job Description

Sigma Wireless are seeking
an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our
Service & Engineering Team.

The role
will involve providing hands-on technical support to customers across a range
of mission-critical communication systems, including installation,
commissioning, preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair. The
successful candidate will be expected to work professionally on customer sites,
liaise effectively with internal teams and suppliers, and ensure all service
activities are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.


Key responsibilities

-       
Meeting our customer commitments in relation to
service response times, and service delivery. 

-       
Being a part of our afterhours Engineer on call
team

-       
The repair & programming of the equipment we
distribute, which includes PMR, Tetra, Microwave, Voice Recording, Networking
and Paging Equipment, to suit our customer requirements.

-       
Commissioning, testing and installation of
equipment as required.

-       
Working within our existing service team to achieve
our goals.

-       
Working on related equipment interfaces and
systems, as required.

Skills:

The
successful candidates will:

-       
Be qualified in Telecommunication Electronics to
Diploma / Degree level, or higher.

-       
Have some relevant experience and technical
competence in working on market leading communication equipment, PMR, Tetra,
Microwave and Paging Equipment.

-       
Have Knowledge & Experience on VHF, MF/HF,
antenna combining systems, multiplexers, routers, Microwave radio, MF antenna
systems battery back-up systems.

-       
Be part of our afterhours Engineering on call team.

-       
Have experience of installation, commissioning, and
debug & repair of this equipment.

-       
Be fully customer orientated and committed to
meeting our goals.

-       
Have excellent communication skills, and the
ability to develop and maintain communication channels both internally, and
with our customers and suppliers.

-       
Have a flexible approach to work and be resourceful
in problem solving. 

-       
Be able to work on own initiative while also been
part of a team.

-       
Show a desire to expand your existing technical
knowledge, and the ability to learn new technologies.

-       
Be willing to work nationwide and outside normal
hours in order to successfully meet our customer commitments.

-       
Have a full clean driving license.

-       
Be available to travel to customer sites across
EMEA
