About Our Team
As a Level 1 Graduate IT Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing technical assistance and support to our internal users at Activ8 Solar Energies. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, maintaining IT systems, ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and being an integral part of our IT helpdesk.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support to internal users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues promptly and effectively as part of our IT helpdesk.
- Manage service desk tickets and take ownership of incident management.
- Manage and maintain IT systems including VMware, Citrix, Azure, and Microsoft 365, ensuring their optimal performance and availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions for IT-related problems, escalating issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
- Assist in the implementation and deployment of IT projects, contributing to the continuous improvement of our IT infrastructure and services.
- Participate in ongoing training and upskilling initiatives, particularly focusing on hybrid cloud technologies, to enhance your skills and expertise in line with evolving industry trends.
Qualifications and Skills
- Solid understanding of IT fundamentals and principles, with a keen interest in learning and developing new skills.
- Experience with VMware, Citrix, Azure, or Microsoft 365 is desirable but not essential; willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies is paramount.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with users at all levels of the organization.
- Hands on training, study time and certification will be provided to accelerate your role and expand your hybrid cloud technology skillset.
- Must live within a commutable distance to our HQ here in Carrickmacross Co. Monaghan.
