About Peter McVerry Trust:
Established in 1983 by Fr Peter McVerry, the charity works with individuals at risk of, or experiencing homelessness, in Dublin, Kildare, Louth and Limerick. Peter McVerry Trust provides a wide range of services in the areas of homelessness prevention, housing, homeless services, under 18s residential and drug treatment.

Our Mission:
Peter McVerry Trust is committed to reducing homelessness and the harm caused by drug misuse and social disadvantage. Peter McVerry Trust provides low-threshold entry services, primarily to younger persons with complex needs, and offers pathways out of homelessness based on the principles of the Housing First model and within a framework that is based on equal opportunities, dignity and respect.
Our Graduate Programme offers an opportunity to make a real change to the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in our society. Graduates work across our services in Dublin, Kildare, Louth and Limerick.

Peter McVerry Trust is a national housing and homeless charity committed to reducing homelessness and the harm caused by substance misuse and social disadvantage. In 2022, we supported over 12,000 people impacted by homelessness.
Your graduate placement will take place in one of our specialist services:
Homeless services Family services
Addiction and recovery services Prevention services
U18s and Aftercare services Regional Services
Our 12-month training programme will offer you practical social care work experience in the housing and homeless sector. Our fast-paced and rewarding programme features:
- Comprehensive induction and training Supervised shadow and induction shifts Mentoring programme
- Access to PMVT training Programmes. Our In-house training includes Harm Reduction, Managing Challenging Behaviour, Fire Warden, Manual Handling and many more.
PMVT are working in partnership with South East Technical University and have developed many NQF accredited modules. These include modules in Addiction, Mental Health, Restorative Practice and Working with Families.
