Graduate Project Delivery Engineer

Role Purpose

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate engineer to join our Projects Delivery team. The successful candidate will support the planning, coordination, and execution of production and engineering projects across the facility. The role involves working closely with mechanical, electrical, and production teams to develop schedules, track progress, and ensure successful delivery of project milestones.

This position is ideal for a graduate with a Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or General Engineering degree who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Coordination

  • Support the planning and delivery of engineering and production projects.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, timelines, and progress trackers.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and production teams to ensure alignment on project requirements.
  • Monitor project progress and report on risks, delays, or issues.

Production Scheduling & Planning

  • Assist in preparing and updating production schedules.
  • Analyse workflow, capacity, and resource requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimise production efficiency.

Technical & Engineering Support

  • Work with engineering teams on mechanical and electrical components used in production.
  • Assist in reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
  • Support equipment installation, commissioning, and process improvements where required.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare project documentation, reports, and updates for internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of project activities, changes, and approvals.
  • Support compliance with quality, safety, and engineering standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Liaise with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
  • Support communication between departments to ensure smooth project execution.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organisational and scheduling skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with scheduling tools is an advantage.
  • Interest in mechanical and electrical systems within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Recent graduate or up to 1 year of experience (internships/placements included).
  • Strong interest in project delivery, production planning, and engineering operations.
