Power Capital Renewable Energy is the largest independent solar power producer in Ireland, with a Solar PV and BESS pipeline of 5.6GW. Our pipeline continues to grow rapidly through a combination of in-house origination and late stage acquisitions of Irish solar farms. We have streamlined our operations across the whole life cycle of our power plants, developing and operating facilities directly with minimal outsourcing. This vertically integrated approach is key to fulfilling our long-term strategic vision of becoming a leading independent power producer (IPP).

We are recruiting a Graduate Development Analyst to join our development team. The successful candidate will be offered an opportunity to work on large and complex renewable energy projects. The position available will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects from project origination through to ready to build with work across the development, and engineering teams. Utilizing the various skills, they may have acquired through formal training, personal interest and previous work experience. This is a permanent role.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaboration with grid and engineering teams.

• Assist in preparation and coordination of planning applications for solar PV and BESS projects

• Support the review and organisation of planning documentation (drawings, reports, statements, etc.)

• Provide GIS and mapping support (e.g., constraints mapping, site analysis)

• Support early-stage planning screening of potential land opportunities to assess development feasibility

• Support constraints mapping and red-flag analysis to inform site selection

• Review county development plans, local area plans, and relevant planning policy

• Ensure that acquired projects with planning approvals are accurately reflected in landowner

agreements (including red line boundaries, infrastructure routes, and site layout)

• Assist in cross-checking planning drawings against option and lease agreements to ensure consistency

• Develop and update OSI-based maps for Option, Lease, Wayleave, and Right of Way agreements

• Maintain version control of mapping files and ensure consistency across project documentation

• Assist in compiling planning packs and validation checklists

• Support coordination with external consultants (ecology, archaeology, planning, engineering)

• Help track project progress, milestones, and risks across multiple sites

• Assist with site assessments, feasibility reviews, and due diligence activities

• Prepare internal reports, summaries, and PowerPoint presentations

• Support public consultation and stakeholder engagement activities

• Carry out general administrative and operational tasks as required


Background and Experience required:

✓ Minimum Level 8 Degree in renewable energy, engineering, planning, environmental science or other relevant discipline

✓ Have excellent QGIS and proficient OSI mapping skills

✓ Keen interest in renewable energy and its development

✓ Keen interest in advancing the use of new technologies including AI to enhance development

✓ Helpful but not required - Work experience working ideally in engineering or planning consultancy or in a renewable energy company
