IGNITE for Students is UCC's Student entrepreneurship community and we're recruiting our first-ever squad of Ambassadors to help us grow it.

Ambassadors play a key role in representing and promoting our programmes across campus and beyond.

Who we're looking for

Any year, any course, any college. We want a genuine mix - you don't need a business idea already. We're looking for people who are naturally curious, good at striking up conversation with strangers, active on social media, and reliable.

Whether you are passionate about innovation and entrepreneurship, interested in meeting like-minded peers or simply looking to get more involved on campus, the IGNITE Student Ambassador Programme is a great way to grow your network and develop valuable leadership skills.

What you'll do

  • Rep IGNITE at events — own the stand, wear the merch, sign people up
  • Sign-up students into IGNITE for Students Community
  • Event Management - help out at IGNITE events campus wide
  • Come up with content ideas and help create posts for IGNITE's social channels
  • Be a visible, approachable face of student entrepreneurship at UCC

What's in it for you

  • Paid role
  • IGNITE merch
  • Real marketing, comms and events experience
  • A front-row seat in UCC's startup and innovation ecosystem

Skillsets of Interest: Communications, Marketing, Event Management, Digital Content, Photography, Videography, Networking.

  • In return, ambassadors gain:

      • Leadership experience
      • Communication and presentation skills
      • Marketing and content creation experience
      • Networking opportunities
      • Exposure to startups and entrepreneurship

If this is your first time being involved in entrepreneurship, that is okay! We still want to hear from you.

This role will require some evening and weekend work as well as presence on all UCC campuses during the day college hours.

Time commitment of approximately 3 - 10 hours per month depending on programme schedule.

Rolling Deadline.

First round of interviews week of 31st August 2026
