Image Quality Graduate - 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Role Overview

As an Image Quality Graduate you will be working with Image Quality experts responsible for the development of state of the art Vision Systems supporting the video pipeline development focusing on image sensor and image signal processing (ISP) configuration and optimization. You will be trained and supported by an experienced team of imaging and optics design experts. Working closely with some of the largest OEM's in the industry with one of the best in class viewing and analytics features in line with Valeo's cutting edge automotive vision applications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the IQ engineers who will be developing the state of the art Image Signal Processing Pipelines for Scene Viewing and Scene Processing applications.
  • Support the Image Sensor and associated ISP pipeline for a wide range of VVS applications.
  • Provide technical documentation support to validate the Image Quality performance to the latest industry standards.
  • Assist the Engineers with Customer Requirements and support the documentations to translate into internal systems & software requirements specifications.
  • Actively support and assist with Systems Architects, Software Architects, Software and Test engineers to ensure full planning, implementation and traceability of requirements relating to your assigned function.
  • Perform testing/work in the lab, test setups, and documentation.
  • Support documentation in validation of development in both the Laboratory and Test Vehicle in line with best practices and customer expectations.
  • Support the test IQ engineers who will provide regular demos of your function on prototype vehicles.
  • Conduct research support into new vision technology.
  • Support PC-based algorithmic Image Signal Processing development, including both scene viewing and scene processing applications.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience with electronics, programming, etc.
  • Desirable background in Physics, Math, and Optics.
  • Knowledge in MS Office suites.
  • Experience in Image Processing is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Imaging and Image Signal Processing.
  • Understanding of Optics Fundamentals.
  • Programming skills (C, C++, MATLAB, Python, etc.)
  • Excellent English language communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High level of innovation and motivation.
