Based in Dublin reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will be an integral part of the finance team and will assist in achieving departmental objectives in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment. Responsibilities
- Work with the finance team to issue financial, regulatory and management reports to a high quality and on a timely basis
- Assist the finance team with the completion of the monthly and quarterly close process
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Prepare reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts
- Prepare general ledger posting transactions
- Assist with VAT calculations
- Assist with maintenance and development of systems and internal controls
- Strive for efficiencies in the finance function and add value to the business whenever possible
What you require for the role
- A numerate individual with a relevant university degree seeking to obtain a professionally recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proven ability to work to deadlines
- A motivated self-starter
- Team player but able to work towards individual targets
- Articulate with good verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – in particular, Microsoft Excel
