The Role

A very exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of Ireland’s leading furniture manufacturer, based in Ardee, Co Louth.

We are recruiting for an experienced kitchen designer with ideally a qualification in interior designer or related field.

You will have:

  • 3rd level qualification in Furniture and/or Design related
  • Proven track record (3 years) in the kitchen and fitted furniture industry or similar business.
  • Proven experience in technical design with kitchens to produce detailed production drawings.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Design Software such as AutoCAD, Fusion, SketchUp, Revit, Solidworks (Swood) or similar systems.
  • Proven ability to measure and take accurate site measurements
  • Strong product knowledge within the kitchen sector
  • Innovative design skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in understand customer’s needs, which will enable you to generate creative ideas and solutions to fulfil our clients’ requirements
  • Good understanding of business and client relations; experience in preparing quotes and sourcing products & materials
  • Portfolio of previous work
  • Ability to solve problems and co-ordination issues.
  • Solid organisational skills, including multitasking and time management
  • Manage sensitive information and maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Ability to listen, absorb, take and follow instruction along with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Fluent English (oral and written)
  • The ability to work independently, in a team environment and support team colleagues
  • The organisational skills to be able to prioritise workload

This position will ensure that you use your experience, your skills, and your expertise to:

  • Guide clients from the initial point of contact to initial design consultation to final design and fitting, understanding their requirements and exceeding their expectations
  • Take full responsibility for the project from inception to completion communicating with every area of our business to ensure every step is completed.
