The Marketing Coordinator role is a great opportunity for a young energetic newly 
qualified marketing enthusiast to get in at the ground floor at a Medical Device start-up.

The opportunity will allow the right candidate to be exposed to all aspects of business and 
all departments within the company.


The chosen candidate will be have direct access to the CEO and be afforded every 
opportunity to excel in the role with the expectation that it becomes permanent when the 
probation period is complete. 

The Marketing Coordinator will be involved in developing marketing campaigns to promote the services, products, events and campaigns of the company. The role will include, but it not limited to, planning, organising events, sponsorship, advertising, public relations, research, analyse market trends, identify target audiences, manage budgets, digital marketing, and collaboration with other teams to achieve the company’s business objectives.

The associate in this role has the authority and responsibility to:

  • Analyze sales data.
  • Conduct market research.
  • Create promotional/marketing materials.
  • Carry out marketing campaigns.
  • Evaluate market trends.
  • Identify target audiences.
  • Set marketing goals.
  • Improve knowledge of web tools such as WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Manage SEO/SEM.
  • Preparing and delivering marketing plans within key objectives.
  • Working with third party designers to produce materials of visual impact within brand guidelines.
  • Involving the management team at each stage of a campaign, and reporting results once completed.
  • Generating and executing marketing campaigns across social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and more.
  • Management of the company website including creating and updating new content.
  • Generating reports for digital marketing campaigns using data-based analytics tools and presenting this data in an easy-to-understand format.
  • Sourcing industry specific advertising opportunities.
  • Creating press releases and liaising with media/press contacts.
  • Liaising printers and publishers as required and managing the production of marketing materials such as leaflets, flyers, posters, and newsletters, including e-newsletters.
  • Liaising with events coordinators to maximize visibility at conferences, receptions, and exhibitions, including compiling product and literature lists to display or demonstrate.
  • Attending key conferences and tradeshows to manage booth, complete customer interviews and focus groups.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Post-graduate course in related field, completed or pending completion.
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing within the medical device industry.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing marketing strategies.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in marketing software and tools.
  • Ability to interpret and apply ISO13485 standards to marketing activities (where applicable).
  • Strong creativity and innovation skills

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, preferably within the medical device industry.
  • Proven track record of successful marketing campaigns and strategies.
