Marketing Intern
Rockwell Financial Management is looking
for a paid Marketing Intern, 12 hours a week for six months, based ten minutes'
walk from TU Dublin Aungier Street.
About the role
Rockwell is a Central Bank of
Ireland–regulated financial planning and wealth management firm at 103 Francis
Street, Dublin 8. We have a national media profile and a social following of
around 12,600, and we want to turn that reach into enquiries from the people we
serve: business owners, professionals and families planning for retirement.
You will work directly with the Managing
Director on two things: our email marketing, and fresh ideas for how the
Rockwell brand shows up. Video production and website maintenance are handled
by outside specialists, so your hours go on marketing, not editing or admin.

What you'll work on
Three things. You will own the execution and
report on the numbers each week.
1. 1. Email and newsletter. This is the core
of the role. Plan, build and send the monthly client newsletter and campaign
emails in Mailchimp to a database of around 12,000 contacts. Write and test
subject lines and calls to action, segment the list, and report open, click and
enquiry rates. The goal is enquiries, not opens.
2. 2. Social Campaigns. Help shape our social
media: suggest topics and formats, review what’s working, and plan the posting
calendar. The MD records the videos; you help decide what they should be.
3. 3. Brand ideas. Bring us things we haven't
thought of: how a financial planning firm could look, sound and show up
differently from the rest of the market. You'll research what good looks like,
pitch ideas to the MD, and help turn the ones we pick into campaigns, content
formats or visual changes.
4.
What this role is not:
•
Sales. You will not be asked to
cold-call or sell to clients.
•
Video editing or website
updates. Those are outsourced.
•
Unsupervised publishing.
Everything client-facing is reviewed before it goes out. That is a feature of
working in a regulated firm, not a lack of trust.
•
General admin. The work is
marketing work.
Who we're looking for
Someone who genuinely likes marketing and
wants to see what works, not just what looks good.
Must have:
- Currently studying marketing,
digital marketing or business at TU Dublin (second year or later, or a
postgraduate), or a recent graduate. - Real enthusiasm for the
subject. Tell us about a campaign, brand or newsletter you think is doing it
well, and why. - Ideas. We want someone who will
walk in with a suggestion, not wait to be handed a task. - Attention to detail. In a
regulated firm a wrong figure or a careless claim is a compliance problem, not
a typo. If you are the sort of person who proofreads twice, we want you. - Clear, warm written English.
Our emails go to real clients about their money. - Comfortable with numbers: you
will be reporting results, not just producing content.
Nice to have:
- Hands-on experience with
Mailchimp or another email platform, or with Canva. - An interest in personal
finance, pensions or investing. No prior knowledge of financial services is
needed; we will teach you the rules.
We would rather have someone with energy
and curiosity than a long list of tools.
What you'll get
- €20 an hour, 12 hours a week,
ten minutes from campus, arranged around lectures. - A weekly 30-minute one-to-one
with the Managing Director, who sets the firm's marketing strategy and appears
regularly on national media. - Ownership of a real channel
with real numbers: a 13,000-contact client database. - A written reference and a
portfolio of campaigns you ran and measured.

We are happy for this role to
count towards a TU Dublin course placement where the programme allows, and will
complete the placement paperwork and assessments.
How to apply
Send a CV and a short note (200 words is
plenty) to robert@rockwellfinancial.ie with the subject line "Marketing Intern". In the
note, tell us one thing Rockwell could be doing better in its emails or its
branding, and how you would fix it. No cover letter needed. Closing date: 13thJan 2027.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a 30-minute conversation at our
office.
