Matheson Summer Internship June 2027
This programme is more than just work experience, it is your opportunity to discover what life is like inside a leading law firm, to work on innovative projects and gain a real insight into our culture.
Over the course of this 4-week internship, you will work alongside our talented legal and tax professionals and trainees on transactions for international companies and financial institutions, gaining hands-on exposure to client work and building skills that will set you apart.
You will spend four weeks working as part of the team in one of our main departments in either our Dublin or Cork offices:
- Corporate and Commercial
- Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution
- Construction and Engineering
- Finance and Capital Markets
- Commercial Real Estate
- Asset Management
- Private Client
- Tax
You’ll also take part in tailored skills development workshops, networking events and insight sessions, designed to support your future career development and to help you decide if Matheson is right for you.
Application Details
Applicants must complete an online application form followed by our strengths-based online ‘Law Capptivate Advance’ assessment, designed to help you learn more about the work you would do if you were successful and help us understand if you’d be a good match. The assessment includes behavioural and cognitive assessment questions to understand how you behave in, and approach, a range of situations as well as assess your critical reasoning skills that are important for the role.
Successful applicants will be invited to attend one in-person interview in November 2026.
